Product Update: Support for new date filters

This week, we’ve added two important features related to dates in Totango:

Date Filters: Before, After and Between

You can now filter accounts in an active-list using specific dates and the  “Before …“, “After …” and “Between … and ….” conditions

This makes it easy to isolate a specific cohort of users (e.g. Account Created between 8/1/2012 and 8/31/2012), isolate activities that happened after a certain marketing event, product enhancement or calendar date. For example, let’s find all accounts that had their last activity Before the past new years:

Account Create Date

You can now explicitly set an account’s original creation date by using the Create Date Named Account Attribute. This is really useful when you are integrating Totango with your web-application. This way Totango knows when an account was originally created, and can place it in the appropriate cohort.

If the attribute is not provided, Totango uses the first activity registered for an account on Totango as its Create Date. This works well for new signups but will provide inaccurate results for accounts opened prior your installation of Totango. We therefore recommend adding this attribute to your Totango integration.
