Totango said Friday it raised $3.8 million in Series A funding. The round was led by Pitango Venture Capital and included Gemini Ventures, which are both based in Israel.

Mountain View-based Totango provides companies with analysis of how their software-as-a-service applications are being used by customers for a more holistic view of their clientele.

The company also announced it is launched a public beta test of its product.

Guy Nirpaz, CEO and co-founder of Totango, said in a prepared statement that "Software-as-a-Service delivered via cloud computing has changed the way customers and businesses interact. Totango increases the lifetime value of any customer, while reducing customer acquisition cost. I am pleased that our new venture partner, Pitango, and returning backer Gemini have the confidence in our technology, strategy and first-rate technical team to solve this important business problem."
